Serving the most vulnerable in rural Malawi

At the younger end of the age scale, we provide “likuni phala” (fortified porridge) for toddlers who have outgrown the milk programme , or need to be weaned earlier than normal due to HIV or breast feeding problems.


We grind maize, soya, dried fish, moringa, salt and sugar, water is added and then it’s boiled by local ladies over an open fire, and served to 40-50 youngsters each week.
